Caregiver Specialist
Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities
A caregiver plays a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while providing compassionate, respectful care in the comfort of their home.
Personal Care Assistance
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help with toileting and incontinence care, when needed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to promote safety and prevent falls.
Companionship
• Provide friendly conversation and emotional support.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, activities, and social engagement.
• Offer companionship to reduce loneliness and promote overall well-being.
Meal Preparation
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to the client's dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist with feeding, if necessary.
• Ensure proper hydration throughout the day.
Light Housekeeping
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen areas.
• Make beds and change linens.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, and mop common living areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Take out the trash and assist with general household tidiness.
Laundry
• Wash, dry, fold, and put away the client's clothing and linens.
• Assist with changing bed linens as needed.
Medication Reminders
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Document reminders according to agency policy.
• Caregivers do not administer medications.
Transportation Policy
Angels Assigned to Assist LLC does not provide transportation using employees’ personal vehicles. When transportation assistance is needed, our caregiver may either meet the client at the designated location or accompany the client in the client’s own vehicle while the client is driving.
For the safety of our clients and caregivers, employees are not authorized to transport clients in their personal vehicles.
Safety Monitoring
• Observe changes in the client's physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Report concerns promptly to the supervisor, family, or healthcare provider, according to agency policy.
• Help maintain a safe environment by identifying and reducing potential hazards.
Documentation
• Complete daily care notes accurately and on time.
• Record services provided and any significant observations.
• Report incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences immediately.
Professional Responsibilities
• Treat every client with dignity, respect, compassion, and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical conduct at all times.
• Arrive on time and notify the agency promptly of any scheduling conflicts or emergencies.
• Follow the client's individualized care plan and agency policies.
• Respect each client's home, belongings, cultural values, and personal preferences.
Salary- Negotiable
